I'm currently working at a small primary school in Geelong, Victoria, Australia and we are looking to partner up with another school in another country. We are a grade 5 and 6 class upper primary (aged 11 and 12). We want to compare our lifestyle to other children. Would there be anyone interested in doing something like that? We'd like to do this in a few weeks time if possible.
We could use an online wiki space to do the project but we could work out the specifics later on.
Thanks
Craig

I am a teacher in Austria in a New Middle School. Our students are from 10 - 14. I would be interested in your project. Now we have our summer holidays, but school starts on Monday 3rd of September. The students in year 1 and 2 (age 10 - 12) are now beginning to learn English. They just learnt a few words in the primary school, but finally they will learn the first whole sentences in the next week. I don't know if this is interesting for you.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Elisabeth
Comment by Craig Cummings on August 23, 2012 at 3:44pm Hi Elisabeth, Thank you for replying! Yes this would interest us because Austrian culture would be a contrast to Australian! I think it could work, even with the limited English at your end. We could make a simple set of questions here that your students could complete for example. We could work out some other ways of communicating as well I'd say.
September 3rd is not a problem for us, it would work well.
My direct email is cummings.craig.g@edumail.vic.gov.au
Lets give it a go!
Regards
Craig
